I pressure washed the inside of the trailer then scrubbed it with TSP. Took about 2 gallons of primer and 2.5 gallons/2 coats of the enamel. $100 or so.

WebDec 13, 2000 · The biggest thing i can think of is to thin it 1/2 oil, 1/2 thinner and do it in the sun on a warm day. go light and let it sink in and do a couple of coats. I will outperform any thompsons or the like. I have 72 chevy pickup with the original wood floor, the slats have been replaced but the floor is like new.

For the floor of my enclosed trailer I primed it and used oil-base concrete floor paint with sand. Two coats of each. For the ramp and skirt, two coats of truck bed liner and two coats of the same floor paint. Another reason not to use epoxy is you can’t just recoat it as you can with paint, it has to stripped off.

My open trailer was powder coated gray so I choose a color close to the color of the powder coat. It took about 6 gallons IIRC for my 20 footer.
