WebIt sounds like you selected the "Only Render" box in the toolbar on the right in 3d View. When that is selected, only the things that would show up when you render are displayed. Other things that disappear are the grid floor, lamps, the camera and objects that are marked as transparent. Thanks, that solved the problem. Cool. Webin blender going into edit mode and back -- first i get the small one. enabled large cursor setting -- no diff until. changed windows settings for the 'cursor and pointer size' to one of the other options -- all the cursors are big. but with large cursor set in blender and windows set back to normal -- I get the big cursor in edit mode.
