WebJust to circle back: After reading through that link and trying a couple things, I was able to get my laptop bootable after switching to Legacy boot in the BIOS, and then installing via a live USB environment. WebUPDATE: If you have Pop installed, don't delete it! It actually boots after what it seems like 30-60 seconds with a black screen. I assume it is a bootloader issue that causes the Pop!_OS splash screen to not appear, but everything else seems fine.
